- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I would not recommend using this medical group, or if you do, I would not use Dr Proctor. He is a novice in this profession, and doesn't seem to understand the importance of communicating with a patient or family members of a patient. Due to this, my dad doesn't use him anymore. I called the LMG on 25 Nov to obtain a referral for my dad (who is homebound and cannot do many simple tasks by himself anymore) for personal care assistance with Medicare. I also mentioned it was urgent as my brother was at my parents house taking care of him, but was leaving on 28 Nov to go back home to Atlanta. primary reason for the PC assistance request was his declining health, and the fact that my mom cannot provide these services anymore. I was told he was busy and would call back at the end of the day. at the end of the day (you guessed it), no call. I called back on 27 Nov, and was told by the secretary that he has my dad's medical record, and will call back. again, no call. finally on Dec 1, I received a call back from the doctors nurse asking what I needed. I told her I was seeking a referral for Medicare for my dad, and she said she would talk to him and call me back "at the end of the day." again, as you guessed it, no call back. finally fed up with the lack of communication, especially by Dr Proctor not being able to take 5 minutes of his day to call me back, I recommended to my mom to find another doctor. My dad now has a new doctor and is happy. Anyone in a profession where you are taking care of people must understand that communications with a patient, or if a patient cant communicate, then with a family member, is extremely important, and goes a long way to providing good medical care. Dr Proctor, who I understand is just starting out, obviously doesn't understand this. I was told repeatedly that he was very busy. Sorry, I don't buy this excuse. Everyone is busy, as a doctor, you must find the time and he didn't. I will however say that the assistant (Mona??) was very nice and knowledgeable, and apologized for Dr Proctor, but is was already too late.January 20, 2017by Tom Clasen
